In the upcoming autumn semester, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities once again offers a wide range of optional courses open to students across all disciplines.

Explore what it means to be a self by examining how identity emerges from the brain, how it can fragment, and how mind and self may extend beyond the body into the world.

University of Tartu semioticians Andreas Ventsel and Mari-Liis Madisson, along with Junior Research Fellow in Information Resilience Diana Poudel, have developed tools for enhancing critical digital literacy in cooperation with international partners. The practical materials are designed for use in higher education, schools, companies and organisations to support navigating the digital landscape and countering the spread of disinformation.

Adult learners are welcome to participate in micro-credential programmes starting in the spring semester to acquire an additional specialisation or competence in a narrow field. Applications can be submitted until 26 January.

Until October 2022, all UT members can take one free Coursera course. Students can also use it towards the completion of their curriculum if they wish.
