Gathering of Semioticians on 17 May

Yesterday's and today's semioticians who are studying and have studied are all welcome to gather on May 17th. The Jakobi 2 building is open, and our faculty and other wonderful people will be here from morning till evening. You are welcome to drop by and chat.

At 5 p.m., a semiotic walk through important places will begin to reach the lively evening at the German Cultural Institute. We will gather on the 3rd floor in the department corridor of Jakobi 2.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., a (re)union at the Tartu German Cultural Institute, where former students will reminisce about their studies and talk about their lives today, and current students will also share their impressions.

The DJ Daysleeper, our alumni, and the Administrative Manager of the Centre for Semiotics Application, Martin Oja, will spin some records.

Please let us know about your attendance HERE so that we know how much food and drink to prepare. Registration is open until May 12th (inclusive).


The reunion is part of the university's grand alumni gathering on May 18, 2024, titled "Back to the university."

From April 1st to May 17th, pensive Tiksu* tickets are available for 45 euros. Only lively Tiksu* tickets for 70 euros can be purchased on-site.

By purchasing a ticket, you support the organization of the alumni reunion and gain access to the evening's grand party, headlined by 2 Quick Start. Also performing at the party are Justament and the brass band Popsid, with music by DJ Kalev K. The evening will be hosted by Andres Dvinjaninov and Saara Pius. Tickets are available on Piletitasku.
