Philosophical Movie Club

The students and faculty of the Department of Philosophy are starting a Philosophical Movie Club where we will watch together all kinds of philosophically interesting movies and then discuss on the topics those movies raise. To make the discussions more lively we will be having guest speakers as well as our own students and faculty to lead the discussions.

The first movie night will take place on November 26th at 18:00 in Arhiiv (Vanemuise 19, next to University library). The movie will be the 1999 sci-fi "The Thirteen Floor". Introductiory discussion will be led by Bruno Mölder and Kristjan Korjus which will continue with the audience after the movie.

If you have any suggestions on which movie to watch or who to invite as speakers, or if you would like to introduce some movie yourself, then please let us know. The genres are not limited: we are open to all kins of movies, as well as all kinds of speakers.

The event is free of charge. We welcome all who are interested in philosophy and movies.
