Topic: UT in media

In September 2024, the Philosophy Department launched a special issue of Studia Philosophica Estonica on the Russia-Ukraine War, edited by Aaron James Wendland. The issue aimed to deepen global moral, cultural, and political understanding of the conflict while also keeping it in public discourse. We are thrilled that this public philosophy project has been featured in over 25 news outlets worldwide.

The exhibition shows the discoveries of dozens of University of Tartu researchers that have significantly impacted global advancements in science and helped us better understand our surroundings.

Nelly Mäekivi, researcher for the Department of Semiotics, visited Kuku radio to talk about biosemiotics and the social aspects of restoring the habitat of the European mink.

On the 27th of December, Riin Kõiv successfully defender her doctoral thesis "The Content and Implications of Nativist Claims. A Philosophical Analysis". This thesis has now found coverage in the state media portal err.ee.
