Semiotics-based Brandlyse wins University of Tartu Vega competition for business-ideas

 

It’s time for semiotics! The revolution of humanities is getting power!Every year University of Tartu arranges Vega fund competition where they select science-based business ideas to give them capital for project development. On 7th of December Vega fund jury selected four teams which got kick-off science grant to develop their projects!

 

One of the winners was Brandlyse - web-based platform that measures brand image with psychological measurement and through semiotic analysis gives detailed recommendations on how organisation could improve their brand image and marketing communications.

 

Author of Brandlyse is Sven Anderson, a master's student of semiotics in Tartu: “Our main idea is to formalize marketing semiotics. I was so glad to see that more and more business people are seeing the potential of semiotics commercial usage.”
